ActBlue is a fundraising platform that processes **online** donations for Democratic campaigns, progressive organizations, and nonprofits. That means we cannot accept or process grants or physical checks on behalf of any of the groups that use our platform. If we receive a check made out to “ActBlue” for a campaign or organization, we’ll mail it back to the donor.  To send a check to a specific candidate, committee, or organization, send it to them directly, not to ActBlue. Write the check out to the campaign or organization, not ActBlue, on the “Pay to the order of” line.  To find a group’s address or contact information, we recommend checking the bottom of their website or on their “Contact” page. Keep in mind that when campaigns and organizations receive individual checks, they have to devote time and labor to deposit and correctly report them. It might take a few weeks to see your contribution in your bank account. ActBlue sends campaigns and organizations their online donations as fast as possible and offers many groups direct wire transfers so that they can focus on organizing rather than depositing checks.
