Providing a phone number when donating is optional. We pass along your number to the group you gave to and no one else. This contact information is vital for groups running grassroots fundraising programs. We never sell or share your personal information with anyone beyond the group you gave to, and ActBlue will never text you. Some groups using ActBlue will allow you to opt-in to receive their text messages. Campaigns and organizations use text opt-in language to comply with mobile carrier requirements when running mass texting programs. Groups using our platform are working to build people-powered campaigns, and they do that by keeping in contact and engaging with supporters like you.
