If the tools or features mentioned in this article are unavailable to you, please speak to your Dashboard Admin(s) about updating your permissions.*  --- As mass or broadcast texting programs become more popular, we’ve made it easy for campaigns and organizations to ensure they comply with mobile carrier regulations.  To enable the texting opt-in feature, start by contacting our support team [here](https://help.actblue.com/hc/en-us/requests/new). After our team receives the required information (including your campaign or organization's disclaimer language and links to your privacy policy and terms and conditions), we'll enable texting opt-in for your fundraising Dashboard.  When contributing, first time and uncookied donors will see a field marked "Cell phone (optional)" when filling out their personal information. This field acts as the texting opt-in, and is where donors can choose to share their phone number with you.     ![A screenshot of the cell phone field on an ActBlue contribution form.](https://actblue-img.s3.us-east-1.amazonaws.com/support.actblue.com/Zendesk+Images/Texting+Opt-In/TEXTOPTIN2.jpg) Returning donors (cookied without saved payment) and ActBlue Express donors (cookied with saved payment information) will see an unchecked box inviting them to opt-in to receive SMS updates.
