Entry Mode makes it easier than ever to fundraise at in-person events. The Entry Mode setting creates an alternate version of your contribution form that does not store any user data in the Internet browser. Entry Mode minimizes errors and duplicates when multiple people enter contributions on the same device.
Go to the Entry Mode tab of your form editor.
Use the toggle to turn Entry Mode on, and you’ll see the instructions to access the alternate version of your form.
Select the green “Publish” button to generate the secure passcode to access the Entry Mode form. Selecting “Publish changes” will also publish any other changes you’ve made to your form in this editing session.
A passcode will appear in the form editor. Click the “Copy” link next to the passcode. Go to secure.actblue.com/entry_mode.
You’ll land on a page that is only accessible using the form’s passcode:
Once you’ve turned Entry Mode on for a contribution form, your passcode works for 24 hours. After that, Entry Mode will automatically turn off on your contribution form, and the passcode becomes invalid. To turn Entry Mode on again, use the toggle like before and publish your changes to get a new passcode.
Paste your passcode and click “Submit” to access your live Entry Mode form. Now, you’re ready to start taking contributions. Here’s what the form looks like — one streamlined, single page:
Even if your contribution form has a donation ask blurb, it won't appear in Entry Mode since you're making your pitch in person.
After a supporter clicks “Donate” on an Entry Mode form, they’ll see a thanks page. Click “Return to form” to return to the Entry Mode form.
If you are on a personal device and want to test Entry Mode, turn off autofill in your Internet browser before turning Entry Mode on. This way, you will see the blank form donors see, not a form that fills in your information. Donors won’t see your information because they’ll fill in their own names.
To turn off autofill in Google Chrome, go to Preferences and scroll to the bottom of the page. Expand “Advanced.”
Go to “Passwords and forms.” Expand “Autofill settings.”
Toggle to OFF for “Autofill forms."
To turn off autofill in Safari, go to Preferences and the “AutoFill” tab at the top of the window.
Make sure all the “AutoFill web forms” checkboxes are unchecked.
If using a different Internet browser, look for an autofill section in preferences or settings.
