ActBlue’s integration with Account Updater automatically updates lost or expired credit cards used for recurring contributions, so donors don’t have to re-enter payment information when they get a new card.
If we try to process a recurring donation but cannot because the credit card is no longer valid, we attempt to update it through the credit card company and retry the contribution three days later. If that works, their recurring contribution will continue with the new card number.
