Payment Types (Stripe)
This article explains which payment methods an ActBlue Stripe merchant account can accept: Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express debit and credit cards, including donations made with Apple Pay and Google Pay. It then clarifies that Stripe merchant accounts cannot accept donations via PayPal or Venmo, including on event and merchandise forms.
With a Stripe merchant account, you can accept donations through ActBlue made using the following debit and credit card types (including donations made with Apple Pay® and Google Pay™):
- VISA
- MasterCard
- Discover
- American Express
Unfortunately, Stripe merchant accounts cannot accept donations via PayPal™ or Venmo™.
