Groups using our platform are working to build people-powered campaigns, and they do that by keeping in contact and engaging with supporters like you.
When you donate to a group through ActBlue, we are legally required to collect your personal information so that the campaigns and organizations you give to can properly report your contributions to the appropriate regulatory body.
Providing a phone number when donating is optional. We pass along your number to the group you gave to and no one else. This contact information is vital for groups running grassroots fundraising programs. We never sell or share your personal information with anyone beyond the group you gave to, and ActBlue will never text you.
Even if you get a link to donate on ActBlue in a text or email, it comes from a group that uses our tools, not us.
To stop receiving texts, reply STOP.
ActBlue does not send emails or texts on behalf of any other group, but because we are a nonprofit, you may receive a fundraising email from us every now and then.
If you want to stop receiving emails from a group, you can usually find an “Unsubscribe” link at the end of most emails.
Our Customer Service Team is here to help. Contact us with any questions about using ActBlue.
