Design and Branding (Hey Victor)
To get started editing your site's design and branding, navigate to Site settings and then select Branding.
Upload logos and branding
Hey Victor supports two logo types. Add both logo versions to ensure your site displays correctly across light and dark backgrounds.
- Dark logo: Displays on light backgrounds
- Light logo: Displays on dark backgrounds
For best results, use SVG or PNG files with transparent backgrounds.
You can adjust logo height for desktop, tablet, and mobile views. The maximum height is 200 pixels.
Add a favicon
A favicon is a small icon that appears in browser tabs and bookmarks.
Favicon requirements:
- Square image
- At least 512 by 512 pixels
- Simple design for clarity at small sizes
Choose colors and typography
Each color palette includes:
- Dark
- Light
- Accent 1
- Accent 2
Dark and light colors must meet WCAG AA contrast requirements. If colors do not meet accessibility standards, you will not be able to save the palette.
Accent colors do not require contrast validation. Hey Victor automatically applies these colors in accessible ways across your website..
You can also select from built-in color palettes.
Select light or dark mode
Light or dark mode sets the overall tone of your site. You can still customize how individual colors appear on your site, regardless of the mode you select.
Update typography
You can customize typography for:
- Headers
- Eyebrow text (the copy above a header)
- Body text
- Buttons
You can adjust font family, weight, line height, and letter spacing. Header font sizes are fixed to maintain visual consistency.
Switch website templates
Website templates control the layout and design of your site and its sections. You can switch templates at any time without losing content or branding.
To switch templates:
- Navigate to Site settings, then select Template.
- Review available templates and find your favorite.
- Select Change to [template name].
- Confirm the change.
- View your site to review the new design.
