Editing Site Content (Hey Victor)
Edit pages and sections
The website editor becomes active when you are logged in and viewing your site.
Edit text
Select text to begin editing.
Edit rich text
Select the pencil icon to open the rich text editor.
Manage images
Select the pencil icon to upload or choose an image from the media library. Use the remove option to delete an image.
Manage forms in a section
Where forms appear, you can remove the current form or add a different form from the available list.
Update section backgrounds
Select a section background to:
- Apply a palette color
- Add a background image
- Apply an overlay color and adjust opacity
Adjust content alignment
You can align section text left, center, or right using the alignment controls.
Buttons and links
You can customize buttons and links with the following options:
- Type: Button or link
- Donation: Yes or no
- Size: Small through extra-extra-large
- Color: Palette-based options
- Style: Solid or outline
- Destination: Internal page or external URL
- Open in new tab: Optional
Add pages
To add a page:
- Open the website editor.
- Select Add page.
- Enter a page name and customize the URL if needed.
Hey Victor sites include pre-built pages you can use and customize. Depending on your website type, available pages may include:
- Homepage
- Meet candidate
- Volunteer
- Voting info
- Endorsements
- News
- Issues
- Events
- Links
- Privacy policy
- Terms of service
Manage menus
Every site includes a header menu and a footer menu.
To update menus:
- Navigate to Site settings, then select Menus.
- In the header or footer menu section, drag items to reorder them.
- To add an item, select Add page or Add link.
- If you add an email link, format the URL using mailto. Example: mailto:email@domain.com
Removing a menu item does not delete the page from the site.
Use pop-up modals
Pop-up modals appear to visitors based on your settings.
To manage pop-ups:
- Navigate to Site settings, then select Pop-up.
- Enable the pop-up.
- Configure settings such as:
- Time to trigger (in seconds)
- Pop-up location (specific pages or all pages)
- Pop-up type (donation buttons, form, or call to action)
To edit an enabled pop-up, open a page where it appears. If you do not see the pop-up, refresh the page.
