When you donate to a group through ActBlue, we are legally required to collect your personal information so that the campaigns and organizations you give to can properly report your contributions to the appropriate regulatory body.
When you give on ActBlue, you should use a name that accurately identifies you. If your name has changed recently, you can donate using the name you now go by. Do not use social media account names when donating through ActBlue.
Creating the name ActBlue emails use to address you
Log in to your account, click on the “Account” button in the top right, and choose “ActBlue Express Profile” from the dropdown.
Here, you can update contact information, employer information, and tipping preferences.
Click on “Contact Info” to update your name. Enter the name you are now using, and click the “Save” button.
Please note: After you make a recurring contribution, we send you a receipt via email every month when your donation recurs. These emails use the name you entered when you gave your recurring donation.
